Udne Ki Aasha 17th August 2024 Written Update: In today’s episode, Renuka asks Sayali why she hasn’t told Sachin to leave the house. Sayali replies that she did tell Sachin not to stay in the house when guests come over, but he doesn’t listen to her. She then asks Renuka what she can do if Sachin won’t listen. Renuka tells Sayali that she understands what Sayali is trying to do and makes a comment about it.

A few hours earlier, Renuka tells her family that Kusum’s daughter is coming to see Akash for a possible marriage. Akash says he’s not interested in meeting her. Renuka insists that Akash meet Kusum’s daughter, saying they are rich, just like Roshini’s family. Tejas worries that if Akash marries a rich family, his and Roshini’s importance in the house will decrease. Tejas tells Renuka that Akash is just a cook and that he thinks Kusum’s family might not accept Akash.

He suggests they should find a good middle-class girl for Akash instead. Sachin scolds Tejas for insulting Akash just because he is a cook. Sachin says cooking is not easy and defends it. Renuka asks Sachin to calm down and tells Akash to stay and meet Kusum’s daughter. Sachin tells Akash to meet them and says if they don’t respect Paresh, they can throw them out of the house. Sachin says he won’t let anyone disrespect his father. Akash remembers how Sachin beat up Joy because Joy disrespected Paresh.
Akash tries to avoid meeting Kusum’s daughter by making up an excuse, but Renuka disagrees. Meanwhile, Joy and Mamta talk about taking Riya to Raghav’s house to meet him for marriage without her knowing. Mamta says she’s worried about what will happen when Riya finds out. Joy reassures her that Riya won’t let them be insulted in front of others and tells Mamta not to worry. Riya comes downstairs, and Joy and Mamta take her to Raghav’s house.
At Raghav’s house, his father waits for Riya’s family. When Riya’s family arrives, Raghav’s father asks Riya if she remembers him. Riya says she doesn’t. Raghav’s father says it’s okay because it was long ago. Shakku arrives at Renu’s house. She sees Renu and jokes that she looks like a bride. She teases her by asking if the groom’s family is coming to see her instead of Akash. Renu asks Shakku to stop teasing her and tells her how excited she is to meet her college friend Kusum.
She asks Shakku why she didn’t come to help with the preparations. Shakku says she thought Sayali would help. Renu comments to Sayali and then calls her. Renu asks Sayali if she has finished her work. Sayali says she has. Renu warns Sayali not to speak in front of Kusum’s family. She scolds Sayali for not sending Sachin out.
Sayali says Sachin isn’t listening to her and tells Renu to send him out herself. Sayali then goes to prepare food. Renuka tells Shakku that she will teach Sayali a lesson after Kusum leaves. Shakku asks Renu if she has talked to Akash about Kusum’s daughter. Renu says she will marry Akash before anyone causes trouble and won’t let Sayali’s sister enter her house.
