Kumkum Bhagya 10th May 2023 Written Update: The episode begins with Khushi telling Ranbir about how she escaped from the orphanage. Ranbir listens intently and checks if she is hurt anywhere. Khushi asks Ranbir if he’s worried about her, to which he responds affirmatively. Khushi then remembers what Pallavi had told her earlier – that Ranbir is her father – and hugs him tightly.
Ranbir asks her what’s wrong, and Khushi admits that she had always prayed for a father, and now God has given her the best one in the world. Overcome with emotion, Khushi calls Ranbir “Dad,” and he confirms that he is indeed her father. Daljeet spots Khushi and takes her aside to talk to her.

Meanwhile, Prachi and Akshay arrive at the orphanage to see Khushi. Prachi meets an elderly lady and pleads with her to let her see Khushi. Moved by Prachi’s sincerity, the woman sends Avni to bring Khushi. However, Avni returns to say that Khushi is missing, having run away from the orphanage. Daljeet then calls everyone to show them Khushi has come to their house.
Rhea tries to establish a connection with Khushi by saying that they are related through Ranbir, and Vikram is touched when Khushi calls him “Grandfather.” Ranbir asks Khushi who told her he is her father, and both Pallavi and Daljeet admit to revealing the truth. Ranbir muses that it must be God’s will and leaves the room.
Back at the orphanage, Prachi and Akshay are worried about Khushi’s whereabouts. Avni confesses that she had locked Khushi up in the dark room as she wasn’t listening to her. Prachi scolds Avni for her cruel behaviour and begins searching for Khushi. The older woman suggests that Khushi might be hiding in her room, and Prachi and the woman go to check. Akshay accompanies Avni to search elsewhere.
Pallavi notices Ranbir on the phone at Ranbir’s house and takes it from him. He tells her that he’s considering getting a stay on Khushi’s adoption and asks the lawyer for advice. The lawyer rebuffs him, asking if he is considering illegal activities. Ranbir apologizes and hangs up.
Meanwhile, Prachi and the older woman question the other children in the orphanage about Khushi’s whereabouts, but they don’t receive any helpful information. Prachi reminds Ranbir that Khushi had been at their house before running away from the orphanage and suggests that they may come there to look for her. Pallavi means that Ranbir takes Khushi somewhere else, but he remains determined to prove she is his daughter. Khushi interrupts them, saying that they won’t believe him.
