He helps, and although Kairi hesitates to climb on, Imlie convinces her. After Kairi is saved, Imlie hugs her tightly, and everyone claps. Chini arrives and is surprised to see Imlie with Kairi. Imlie says she asked a goddess to save Kairi first. Kairi tells Imlie she is like her mom. Chini stumbles in shock, thinking Imlie doesn’t know Kairi is her daughter, so she doesn’t look for Arto.

Chini feels relieved, but Kairi notices her. She mentions her best friend, but Chini hides. Imlie suggests it’s someone else. They leave for summer camp while Chini cries, remembering a warning that she’ll lose her second chance soon. Chini explains she didn’t take Arto from Imlie; he left her alone, and she raised Kairi with him. Chini lived in confusion about who she belonged to, but she didn’t want Kairi to face the same. Imlie must stay away from them.
