Kumkum Bhagya 20th May 2023 Written Episode Update: The story begins with Prachi telling a police officer that she wants to cancel her complaint against Ranbir. The officer asks if she’s sure. Prachi remembers something Khushi told her and says she must cancel the complaint. The officer agrees.
Pallavi tells Ranbir not to worry because Rhea is looking for a good lawyer. But Ranbir says Prachi won’t let them go quickly. Then the police let Ranbir go. Pallavi and Ranbir think Rhea did this, but Rhea saw Prachi cancel the complaint and thanked her. Prachi says she did it only for Khushi, no one else.
Ranbir and Pallavi speak with the officer about their lawyer getting Ranbir out. But the officer says Prachi’s cancelled complaint got Ranbir released. Rhea also says she didn’t call a lawyer yet. Prachi’s car won’t start. Ranbir comes to her and asks why she helped him. They argue, and then Prachi says she did it because Khushi asked her to. So, Ranbir offers to drive Prachi home as a thank you.
Ranbir takes Prachi home. Part of her saree gets stuck in the car door. Ranbir tries to free it, but Akshay steps in, afraid it might rip. Akshay helps Prachi with her saree, and she thanks him. She says Akshay found Khushi. Akshay tells Ranbir he’s disappointed in him. Ranbir tells him not to talk about expectations, and Prachi agrees. Then Akshay and Prachi leave. Rhea comes out of the car and stands with Ranbir. Prachi sees them together.
Ranbir dreams that Prachi will take Khushi from him. He asks her not to, but she doesn’t listen. He wakes up scared. Rhea asks what’s wrong, and Ranbir tells them about his dream. Pallavi tells Rhea to get water. Pallavi tries to comfort Ranbir, saying Prachi won’t take Khushi away.

Rhea gets a surprise call from Alia. Rhea doesn’t want to talk, but Alia tells her Prachi tried to take Khushi away. Alia says Rhea should do the same. But Rhea says she’s changed and doesn’t want to be wrong again. She doesn’t want to fight with her sister. Alia warns that Rhea could lose Ranbir if she doesn’t act. Rhea hangs up when she sees Pallavi coming and leaves.
Prachi finds Akshay looking at Mr. Bhalla’s company files. Akshay says yes and shows Prachi his ideas. But Prachi suggests moving the company to the outskirts of town to save money and create jobs. She asks Akshay to think about it. Mr. Bhalla talks about needing to fire people because of money problems. Akshay tells him there’s another solution.
