Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein 20th December 2023 Written Update: In today’s episode, Ishaan tells Surekha to eat a biscuit because she hasn’t eaten since yesterday. Surekha notices Ishaan’s injured hand and asks about it. Ishaan tells her it’s not serious and will heal soon. Ishaan insists that Surekha eat the biscuit first, as he hasn’t eaten since yesterday. They both take turns eating the biscuit. Ishaan tells Surekha she’s like a mother to him. They hug each other.
Then Ishaan tells the reporters outside that their story is not true. He asks them to understand the full story before writing it and sends them away. Surekha tells Ishaan she thought he wouldn’t return home. Ishaan reassures her he won’t leave her over a play and says their bond is strong. Yashwant praises Ishaan for supporting his family. Ishaan then heads to college.
At college, Reeva approaches Ishaan and admits she didn’t know the play was about his life. Ishaan is upset with Reeva. She tells him she won’t bother him anymore and will wait for him to approach her. Savi knocks on Ishaan’s office door. Thinking it’s Shukla, Ishaan asks him to come in, but it’s Savi with coffee.
Ishaan is surprised and angry to see Savi in his office. Savi reminds him that he allowed her to come in. Ishaan thought she was Shukla and called for security to keep Savi away from his office. Savi puts a bandage on Ishaan’s hand as security comes and says untended wounds can leave scars. Then she leaves.
Savi meets Bhavani, who apologizes for misunderstanding her and praises Savi for escaping from Samrudh and saving another girl. Bhavani says she wants to honour Savi for her bravery. Meanwhile, Mandar and Samrudh are released from jail, and Samrudh plans revenge against Savi.
Precap: Bhavani tells Ishaan they want to honour Savi and invite him, too. Ishaan says he can’t come.

There is an excellent mix of drama and emotional depth in this episode. Ishaan’s care for Surekha is shown by their sharing a biscuit, which shows how close they are. The scene where Surekha worries about Ishaan coming home and he reassures her shows how close they are. The way Ishaan talks to the reporters makes the story more realistic and brings up the issue of media responsibility.
The scenes at college add tension, especially when Ishaan fights with Reeva and Savi. The contrast between Ishaan’s harsh response to Savi and her caring response to his injury shows how complicated his personality is. The side story about Bhavani’s change of heart about Savi is a good addition that shows how brave Savi is.
This episode does an excellent job setting up future stories, especially since Samrudh got out of jail and has bad plans for Savi. This cliffhanger and the unresolved problems between Ishaan, Reeva, and Savi make me look forward to seeing what happens in the next episodes. The episode is interesting, with a good mix of dramatic and emotional parts.
