Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18th May 2023 Written Update: Arohi tells Ruhi to eat correctly in today’s episode. Ruhi asks Arohi if Abhir is coming again. She says she doesn’t want to meet Abhir. Manjiri is surprised. Ruhi asks Arohi to call and stop Abhir if he is coming. Abhimanyu tells Ruhi that he won’t if she doesn’t want Abhir to come. Ruhi is happy. Abhimanyu says Abhir won’t go unless she wants him to. Ruhi asks what if she never allows Abhir to come? Abhimanyu says Abhir will never come then. Manjiri gets angry. Abhimanyu takes Ruhi with him to give her a surprise.
Abhir asks Akshara to play with him for 10 minutes. Akshara is busy with her work. Abhir thinks Akshara is also ignoring him. Abhir reads custody papers. Abhinav scolds Abhir for touching the pieces. Akshara asks Abhinav not to rebuke him. Abhinav says he will scold Abhir if he makes a mistake.
Abhir asks Abhinav why he is scolding him when he hasn’t done anything. He complains to Akshara and Abhinav that they don’t spend time with him. Manish asks Abhir why he didn’t ask him to play. Abhir calls Akshara and Abhinav evil. He asks Abhinav to get his tickets done with Neelima and Muskaan as he wants to return to Kasauli. He gets angry and leaves.
Akshara talks to Abhinav and admits she made a mistake by ignoring Abhir out of fear of losing him. Abhinav also regrets it. Akshara and Abhinav decide to be there for Abhir. Abhir says he doesn’t have anyone and wants to return to Kasauli. He gets teary-eyed. Ruhi tells Abhir not to cry as she comes to make things right—Abhir and Ruhi exchange gifts. Abhir asks Ruhi if he can meet Abhimanyu. Ruhi takes Abhir to Abhimanyu.
Abhir tells Abhimanyu that he admires him and wants to be like him. Abhimanyu hugs Abhir and Ruhi. Akshara and Abhinav are surprised. In a flashback, Abhimanyu remembers explaining to Ruhi the importance of Abhir in her life. Ruhi understands Abhimanyu. Manjiri makes Ruhi understand that Abhimanyu loves Abhir and her equally. Ruhi accepts Abhir.

Back to reality, Ruhi sees Akshara. She hugs Akshara and Abhinav and asks if they will protect her, as they are family. Akshara assures Ruhi. Abhir tells Akshara and Abhinav that he is not going to Kasauli. Ruhi asks Abhir if he is planning to go back to Kasauli. Abhir means Ruhi. She is upset with him because he isn’t meeting Abhimanyu.
He adds that Akshara and Abhinav weren’t spending time with him. Abhir says now he won’t go anywhere without Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu tells Abhir that he won’t let him go either. Akshara and Abhinav are surprised. Abhinav feels insecure, thinking he is losing his family. Akshara consoles Abhinav. Abhinav realizes that Abhir is moving away from him. Akshara tells Abhinav that no one can take Abhir away from him.
