Yeh Hai Chahatein 21st May 2024 Written Update: In today’s episode, the doctor tells Kaashvi that Aditya is in a coma because of a head injury. Kaashvi and Arjun leave the hospital. Jagadish goes to buy medicines. Mahima tells Romila that Arjun and Kaashvi are hiding something. She thinks it’s suspicious that the brakes failed and Aditya couldn’t escape the car. Romila agrees. Kaashvi feels guilty about Aditya’s condition. Arjun tries to comfort her, saying it wasn’t her fault but an accident. He even says that Aditya deserves this.
Kaashvi argues that the law would have punished him if Aditya were okay. She insists it’s all her fault. Shanti overhears their conversation and wonders if they know about her connection with Aditya. Kaashvi cries, saying Aditya couldn’t escape because of the handcuffs. Arjun reassures her that it wasn’t her fault. She accuses him of being insensitive and questions his humanity. He defends himself, saying Aditya is bad, but he still tries to save him.
A nurse gives Kaashvi Aditya’s personal belongings, and Shanti sees this. She worries that the phone has call records that could expose her. She decides to take action to protect herself. Ronak asks the doctor when Aditya will recover, but the doctor can’t say. Kaashvi tells the doctor she will stay with Aditya. Arjun takes her aside and insists that Aditya doesn’t deserve her concern. He suggests giving all the evidence to Ronak and says he will talk to him.
Kaashvi refuses to arrest Aditya in his condition, but Arjun argues that Aditya is still a criminal. She insists they should wait until Aditya recovers, but Arjun thinks her guilt is clouding her judgment. She firmly states that as a senior officer, she knows what she is doing and leaves. Arjun decides he needs to expose Aditya. Shanti tells Kaashvi that the receptionist needs her to sign some documents, and Kaashvi leaves.
Shanti plans to delete the call records from Aditya’s phone but hides when she hears a noise. Arjun enters, finds Aditya’s phone, and sees an unsaved number. He calls the number, but Shanti disconnects and turns off the phone. He notices that the messages have been deleted and leaves. Shanti feels safe for now. The doctor suggests taking Aditya home and hiring a nurse.
Kaashvi agrees to take him home and care for him, saying it’s her responsibility as his wife. Later, Mahima tells Romila they should get rid of Shanti and shares a plan. Romila pretends to have lost her gold necklace and suggests searching Shanti’s room. Shanti denies being a thief. Romila and Mahima search Shanti’s room but find nothing. Shanti then shows them a necklace and asks if this is what they’re looking for.
