Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein 8th December 2023: In today’s episode, Surekha questions Nishikanth and Yashwant about the chaos at their college since Reeva got a job there. Nishikanth explains that they sought more funding from the university, which led to them losing some control, including the decision to hire Reeva. Surekha is upset, wondering how Isha, a mother, could act this way towards her son. Asmita defends Isha, saying she couldn’t have known about Reeva’s job.
Surekha responds to Asmita. Yashwant suspects Shantanu helped Reeva get the job since at least two-panel members must support an applicant. He suggests to Surekha that they cancel Reeva’s job, but Nishikanth disagrees—Yashwant plans to contact the vice chancellor to cancel her job anyway. Ishaan tells Yashwant there’s no need for such action.
Savi pleads with Ninad to eat, but he refuses. Savi then insists she won’t eat either until Ninad does. Ninad asks Savi to take him to Ramtek, not wanting to stay there. Savi encourages him to stay for treatment, promising he’ll recover soon.
Yashwant questions Ishaan’s views on Reeva. Ishaan admits the issue lies with him, not Reeva. Yashwant advises him to learn to ignore her. Surekha asks if Ishaan can do that, and Ishaan feels he has no choice. He assures his family he’ll manage.
Bhavani is worried about Ninad losing hope. Savi comforts Bhavani, saying her strength will keep everyone hopeful. She believes Ninad will feel better when Ashwini arrives.
Yashwant decides to confront Shantanu about his actions that hurt Ishaan, but Nishikanth reveals he was the one who favoured Reeva. Yashwant and Surekha question his motives. Nishikanth recalls Swanand’s promise to help them with a land issue in Mumbai if they employed Reeva. Nishikanth believes Ishaan will cope by ignoring Reeva, eventually leading her to leave the college.
Durva tells Ayush about Reeva’s new role and plans to make her leave. Ayush agrees. When Reeva meets Savi, Savi returns Reeva’s book and learns about her job. Savi then introduces Reeva as the new assistant psychology professor.
Durva and Ayush make negative remarks about Reeva, which Savi counters by mocking them for cheating in exams. When Durva tries to hit Savi, Savi stops her. Ishaan arrives, asking about the quarrel. Durva blames Savi, but Savi says the opposite. Ishaan ends the fight and warns Reeva.
Precap: Reeva offers sweets to Ishaan, who declines, saying he doesn’t eat sweets. However, he’s seen eating sweets when Savi offers them.

The episode shows a complicated web of power struggles and relationships between people at a college. The plot is interesting, with a good mix of mystery, conflict, and emotional tension. The characters are well-rounded, with clear goals and relationships that give the story more depth.
The story is centred on Reeva’s job at the college, which causes problems for many of the characters. The fact that Nishikanth and Yashwant lost control of the college because of their money choices makes the story more realistic. Surekha’s concern for family values and Asmita’s defense of Isha bring the theme of family ties and misunderstandings.
Ninad and Savi’s side story adds emotional depth and shows how hard it is to deal with illness and change. Savi’s strength and hope are especially moving. Ishaan’s inner struggle and Yashwant’s desire to protect him show us more about their personalities. The plot twist where Nishikanth decides to side with Reeva in exchange for a land deal makes things more morally complicated.
Also, the episode builds suspense, especially with Durva and Ayush’s plan to hurt Reeva and Ishaan’s confusing behaviour toward sweets at the end. The episode is well-made, with a good mix of drama, emotional depth, and moral dilemmas. It’s a great watch for people who like complex stories.
