Shalu and Bani ask Ayush if the pre-engagement ceremony means everything is finished. Ayush explains to Shalu and Bani that not everything is over. Ayush advises them to go with the flow, as they have already done what they could, but it didn’t work out. He says they can only find happiness in the current situation.
Dadi asks Vikrant if she spoke too much. Vikrant assures her that she didn’t and promises not to give anyone a reason to complain. Malishka asks Rishi where he is. Rishi replies that he is in his room and asks what happened. Malishka tells Rishi about Sonali’s question regarding their divorce. Malishka says it was tough for her.
Rishi notices that Lakshmi’s dress catches fire and calls out to her. Vikrant tries to extinguish the fire, but Rishi comes and tears Lakshmi’s burning dress away, throwing it aside. Vikrant, thanks, Rishi. Rishi angrily scolds Vikrant for not noticing the fire and questions if he truly deserves Lakshmi.
Neelam and everyone else expects Vikrant to argue with Rishi and break off the marriage due to anger. However, Vikrant calmly explains to Rishi that he didn’t see the fire and suggests that Rishi wouldn’t have noticed it if he were in Vikrant’s position. Vikrant still apologizes to Rishi and everyone for not caring for Lakshmi properly.
