Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th May 2023 Written Update: In today’s show, Mahima tells Manjiri she will help her with Abhir’s situation, but Manjiri needs to help her with something about Parth. Manjiri wonders if Mahima is making a trade. Mahima tries to trick Manjiri into helping. She argues that if Abhimanyu gets a chance, why not Parth? Mahima tries to get Manjiri on her side. Manjiri says no to Mahima because of Shefali. Mahima tells Manjiri that since she loves Abhimanyu, she needs to know what happened today.
Abhir helps Abhinav drink some water. Abhinav says sorry to Abhir for being careless. Abhir tells Abhinav he got hurt. Abhinav tells Abhir he would do anything for him. Abhir tells Abhinav that he knows this. He also tells Abhinav that he means the world to him. Abhir compliments Abhinav. Akshara interrupts them. Abhir calls Abhinav the best father. Abhinav calls Abhir the best son. Akshara asks Abhir to play chess with Manish.

Manjiri tells Abhimanyu that Akshara and Abhinav aren’t careful with Abhir. She tricks Abhimanyu into believing that Akshara and Abhinav aren’t good parents. Akshara helps Abhinav treat his injury. Abhinav is uncomfortable. Akshara insists. Abhinav starts crying, and Akshara comforts him.
Manjiri convinces Abhimanyu that Abhir isn’t safe with Akshara and Abhinav. Arohi overhears Manjiri and Abhimanyu talking. She worries that it would be unfair if Manjiri and Abhimanyu proved Akshara and Abhinav are bad parents. Arohi wonders how Akshara could live without Abhir.
Muskaan meets Raghav. She tells him that she doesn’t like someone much. Raghav asks why she wasted her time. Muskaan says sorry to Raghav. Kairav is surprised at how Muskaan told Raghav the truth so quickly. Raghav leaves. Muskaan asks Kairav why he is there. Kairav says he doesn’t trust Raghav; that’s why he came. Muskaan decides to move on. Kairav is shocked.

Akshara and Abhimanyu sense each other’s presence. Akshara asks Abhimanyu why he’s there. Abhimanyu criticizes Akshara for not taking good care of Abhir. Akshara asks Abhimanyu if Ruhi has never had an accident. Abhimanyu asks Akshara if she can guarantee that nothing will happen to Abhir in the future if she supports Abhinav. Akshara supports Abhinav. Abhimanyu asks Akshara if her love for Abhinav has made her ignore Abhir’s wellbeing.
Akshara and Abhimanyu argue. Abhimanyu is determined to fight for Abhir’s custody at any cost. He believes Akshara and Abhinav are unfit parents, so he plans to fight dirty in court. Akshara tells the Goenkas about Abhimanyu’s threats. She promises to fight for Abhir’s custody no matter what.
