Mangal Lakshmii 29th July 2025 Written Update: The episode begins with Adit handing the chunri to Mangal, which was about to fall from the plate. Mangal thanks him and walks towards Kapil. Kapil informs Kusum that his mother has invited everyone to their house to celebrate Teej. Adit quietly remarks, “Why would I go to a place where I was insulted?” Sowmya overhears this and tells Kapil that they will attend. Kapil agrees and leaves with Mangal. Adit watches Mangal intently, which Sowmya notices.
Meanwhile, Pratima is busy with the Teej preparations. Shanti tells her that it was a mistake to invite Adit. Pratima replies that she only invited him out of formality, otherwise Mangal would misunderstand her. She adds that if Adit has any self-respect, he won’t show up since he was insulted here earlier.
Mangal and Kapil arrive at Kapil’s house. Mangal greets everyone warmly. Shanti tells her, “I’m happy that God has brought joy back into your life.” Mangal replies that she has lost faith in such rituals. Pratima intervenes, saying it would be unfair to Kapil if she doesn’t observe the fast with full devotion. She urges Mangal to forget the past and keep the vrath with sincerity.
Lipika offers Kapil some juice, but he refuses upon seeing Mangal. She questions why he hasn’t eaten all day and jokingly asks if he’s fasting for Mangal. Kapil brushes it off, saying he’s simply not hungry. Pratima then asks Mangal to select some bangles. Mangal picks simple green ones. As the bangle seller steps away, Kapil picks up the bangles and asks Mangal if he can put them on her. She agrees.
Adit is reluctant to go to Kapil’s house, but Sowmya, determined to push Mangal out of his life, drags him there. Upon arrival, Adit sees Kapil placing bangles on Mangal’s hands. Sowmya points out that Kapil isn’t even married yet, but always seems close to Mangal. Kapil compliments Mangal, saying the bangles suit her. Mangal thanks him. Sowmya then approaches them with Adit, praising them as a nice couple. She asks Adit to select a pair of bangles for her. He does, and she asks him to put them on her. While doing so, Adit accidentally hurts her. He apologizes and leaves, while Kusum silently observes the entire situation.
Pratima then announces that Mangal will perform the jula julayi ritual first. Overhearing this, Sowmya distracts the women by initiating a dance and, in the chaos, loosens the screw of the swing. When the time comes for the ritual, Sowmya volunteers to sit first, but Shanti stops her, insisting that Mangal will go first, as the event was arranged for her. Sowmya thinks to herself, “That’s exactly what I wanted.”
Pratima asks Kapil to push the swing. Mangal sits on it. Just as the swing is about to collapse, both Kapil and Adit rush to hold it from either side, saving Mangal from falling. One woman comments, “Good that her husband saved her.” Another mocks, “Which one—ex or present?”
Pratima instructs the workers to fix the swing while the others move on to the next ritual. The pandit begins reciting the Teej story. As Mangal and Kapil stand to shower flowers on the goddess’s image, Adit’s reflection appears between them—symbolizing the unresolved emotions still lingering between the trio.
Pandit asks Mangal to spread the dhoop throughout the house. Mangal takes it and begins the task. Sowmya smirks, recalling how she had added chili powder to the dhoop. When Mangal enters the kitchen with the dhoop, she starts coughing heavily due to the chili smoke. She clutches her chest, feeling breathless. Confused and alarmed, she wonders what’s happening to her.
