Maati Se Bandhi Dor 16th August 2024 Written Update: In today’s episode, Vaiju says she has applied vermillion for Goddess Durga. She explains that in their village, unmarried girls fast on Durga Ashtami and dress up like married women. They apply vermillion as a ritual for the Goddess. Sulekha claps and makes fun of Vaiju, but Jaya supports Vaiju, saying this tradition has been followed in their village for a long time.

Vasundhara tells Sulekha to stop her teasing as everyone needs to break their fast. She also says that it’s Vaiju’s right to fast and pray. Jaya and Rannvijay also support Vaiju’s fasting. Rannvijay keeps looking at Vaiju. Later, Jaya asks Rannvijay if he will feed her, and he agrees. Vaiju watches this. Suddenly, there’s a power cut, and in the darkness, Rannvijay accidentally feeds Vaiju instead of Jaya.

Vaiju touches Rannvijay’s feet to seek blessings. When the lights come back on, Rannvijay is surprised to see Vaiju in front of him. Jaya arrives and says she’s glad the power is back. She asks Rannvijay to feed her as she’s hungry. He feeds Jaya while Vaiju stands aside, exchanging glances with Rannvijay. Rannvijay confronts Vaiju, asking why she ate from Jaya’s leftovers and his hands. He says he feels it would have been better if he had died from Jaktab’s bullet.

He tells Vaiju that he is tired of living a double life. Vaiju says she is doing her best and reminds him that he gave her this right. She tells him she can’t forget her responsibilities and is always afraid of Jaya finding out about their relationship. Rannvijay admits that he unknowingly hurts Jaya. Jaya receives a call from her college friends and tells them she is enjoying her married life. One of her friends mentions getting her dream job and asks Jaya about her career plans.

Jaya feels speechless as her friend encourages her to restart her career and be ambitious. Jaya thanks her friend for the reminder and thinks about how Vaiju had encouraged Ragini to play music again after marriage. She also remembers Vasundhara giving similar advice to Ragini. Rannvijay joins her, and Jaya asks if he remembers her friend who got her dream job. Jaya tells Rannvijay that she also wants to consider her job and career. She suggests that the whole family move to Mumbai. Rannvijay doesn’t like the idea of moving.

Jaya argues that they can find better opportunities in the city. Rannvijay argues back, saying he thought she wanted to stay in the village. Jaya insists that Rannvijay should at least discuss it with his family. Rannvijay responds that his family will stay in the village and asks Jaya to decide. Vaiju overhears their argument. The episode ends with Rannvijay and Vaiju feeling upset about the argument, and Vaiju decides to help them resolve it.
