Maati Se Bandhi Dor 14th August 2024 Written Update: In today’s episode, Rannvijay comes out and asks Vaiju if the tree she’s planting is her gift for him. Vaiju tries to deny it, but Rannvijay says that Shambhu has already told him. Rannvijay then asks Vaiju why she didn’t tell him about it. Vaiju explains that everyone else brought big and beautiful gifts, so she thought her gift wouldn’t be good enough. However, Rannvijay says that it’s nice because everyone gives gifts with their own thoughts. Vaiju tells him she planted the tree to wish him good health and prosperity.

Rannvijay remembers that Jaya had told him something similar. Vaiju says she can’t wrap the plant as a gift but gives him a handful of soil to care for. Vasundhara then mentions that all the women in the house are keeping a fast for Durga Ashtami. Rannvijay tells Jaya she doesn’t have to fast, but Jaya says she’s doing it to show her love. Vasundhara explains that the fast is important for husbands and wives and is not easy to keep.

Vaiju looks at Rannvijay. Later, Vaiju sits with her marriage symbols in her room and thinks about her responsibilities. She decides to keep the fast. When Vasundhara asks why she woke up so early, Vaiju lies and says it was because of the noise. Vasundhara says that the women will eat the food served by their husbands. Vaiju notices Ragini silently crying and follows her. She asks Ragini if she’s okay. Ragini wonders if she should keep the fast or not.

Vaiju says she understands how it feels to be married but not live with her husband. She tells Ragini that the decision should be hers. Sulekha insists that Ragini keep the fast, but Vaiju disagrees and says Ragini should decide for herself. Vaiju adds that a forced relationship only brings pain. Sulekha taunts Vaiju, saying that because all her relationships have ended, she doesn’t understand the meaning of keeping a fast for a husband. Rannvijay asks Sulekha to stop.

Vasundhara agrees with Vaiju and tells Ragini to make her own decision. After everyone leaves, Vaiju goes to the kitchen and eats some leftover food that Rannvijay had touched. Vaiju thinks she may never have the status of a wife, but she still has to fulfil her responsibilities. She remembers how Rannvijay has cared for her in the past few days and eats the leftovers while crying, with a sad song playing in the background. Rannvijay enters the kitchen and asks Vaiju why she eats food during the fast. He also asks why she ate from Jaya’s leftovers.

Vaiju tries to make an excuse, but Rannvijay says he knows she’s hiding something. Before he can ask more, Arhaan calls them for the aarti. Ragini asks Vaiju to stand beside her. Rannvijay again questions Vaiju about whether she’s keeping the fast for him. Vaiju reminds him that she won’t ask anything from him but has the right to fulfil her responsibilities. Kaveri sees Rannvijay talking to someone and thinks it’s Jaya, but then she finds Jaya in another room. The episode ends with Kaveri trying to see who Rannvijay is talking to.
