Jhanak 22nd December 2023 Written Update: In today’s episode, Anirudha and Jhanak discuss a wedding saree and vermilion. Arshi asks Jhanak if someone wants to marry her. This embarrasses Jhanak, and she says she will talk about it later. Meanwhile, Badoma questions if Jhanak can handle such clothes. Jhanak assures her she will throw them in the Ganga river, saying the saree and vermilion won’t bother them anymore, and then she leaves for her room.
Jhanak goes to Anirudh’s room and asks him for a favour. She wants him to throw something in the river. Anirudh is shocked and asks if she’s still thinking about the marriage. He advises her to focus on her studies to be independent. Jhanak insists she will return to Kashmir soon, as she misses it and doesn’t want to stay at Anirudha’s house.
Anirudh reminds her that Tejas might harm her again, but Jhanak is determined to go back to Kashmir. Anirudh doesn’t understand why she wants to return to a difficult life. He persuades her to continue her studies and follow her dreams, saying it will help her overcome problems. He also offers to buy books for her. Jhanak tells him not to worry about her because he’s marrying Arshi soon. But Anirudh doesn’t want her to think about his marriage.
At the end of their talk, Jhanak convinces Anirudh to throw the saree into the river. She tells him not to care about their relationship. Anirudh takes the saree and vermilion but realizes it’s hard to get rid of them and decides to keep them safe. Back home, Anirudh apologizes to Shristi and Vinayak for upsetting them. Shristi criticizes Anirudh for his behaviour and doubts Jhanak’s character. She seems to dislike Jhanak.
