He thinks he wouldn’t have to marry Malishka if he had told her he loved her. He thinks Lakshmi would make him happy. On the other hand, Lakshmi wants to celebrate getting her job back by buying ice cream.

When she thinks about her past with Rishi, she feels sad. She thinks that if she doesn’t think about Rishi, he might marry Malishka. But Rishi sees her when she stops her bike to buy ice cream. He gives her a treat by telling her rickshaw driver to go. He tells her he wants to take her home when she asks why he is there.
Lakshmi says she doesn’t want to return with him in the next part. Rishi says, though, that they will talk about it in his car. Once Lakshmi gets inside, she tells Rishi she no longer wants to live at the Oberoi house. She wants to return to how she used to live, so she got a job.
They go a while without talking. Then, after eating the ice cream Lakshmi gives him, Rishi sleeps with his head on her shoulder. He tells her he loves her while he is sleeping. Lakshmi has trouble waking him up because he seems so calm. But she does it in the end, and she goes.
Lakshmi talks with her sisters when she gets back to her house. She says that she no longer wants to be with Rishi. She wants to do things her way.
