Mangal Lakshmii 26th July 2025 Written Update:
The episode starts with Kapil wondering why the lights are on in the room. He sees Mangal sleeping on the bed. He thinks, Maybe Mangal is tired after a hectic day — first taking care of Akshat and then rushing here for me. He gently covers Mangal with a duvet, turns on the AC, switches off the lights, and softly says, “Good night, Mangal ji. Sleep well,” before leaving the room.
Even in deep sleep, Mangal dreams of Akshat crying with stomach pain. She suddenly wakes up, turns on the light, and realizes she slept at Kapil’s house. Drowsy and disoriented, she still feels dizzy. She thinks, The medicine didn’t work. My phone’s not charged, so I can’t even call home to check on Akshat. She tries to leave, but Pratima stops her and asks where she’s going in the middle of the night, urging her to leave in the morning. Mangal refuses, saying, “My son’s health isn’t good. I need to go. Your party is over anyway.” Pratima thinks to herself, Why isn’t the strong dose of sleeping pill working? but fails to stop Mangal.
Meanwhile, Adit and Kusum are taking care of Akshat. Kusum encourages Akshat to eat something, but he says he wants to eat from his mother’s hand. Kusum replies, “Your mom will be back soon from Kapil’s party. She’ll feel good seeing you better.” She tries to feed him, but Akshat feels nauseous and vomits. Adit and Kusum comfort him.
Mangal struggles to find an auto and decides to walk home despite her dizzy state. Kusum wonders why Mangal hasn’t returned. Adit comments, “Mangal is busy with her new life. She doesn’t care about this house or the kids anymore.” While walking, Mangal trips on a stone, falls to the ground, and loses consciousness.
Adit continues venting, “Mangal must be with Kapil again. She didn’t even come home.” Sowmya tells him to stop ranting about Mangal. Adit replies, “Akshat is sick and wants his mom, but she’s nowhere to be found. I’m really worried.” Sowmya throws him out of the room and says, “Worry outside. I need to sleep.”
Later, the sound of a moving vehicle wakes Mangal. She slowly gets up and continues walking home. Adit, now anxious, says, “I have to manage Akshat alone. I can’t disturb Mom either. If anything happens to Akshat, I won’t be able to forgive Mangal.”
Mangal finally reaches home in a distressed state. Adit is shocked to see her condition. She rushes to Akshat and asks how he’s feeling. Akshat says he’s fine. Mangal replies, “It’s time for your medicine,” and gives it to him while struggling to stay awake. After putting Akshat to sleep, Mangal gets up but collapses. Adit catches her and makes her lie down on the bed. He wipes the mud off her face and tends to her. Kusum watches and thinks, For the first time, I’m seeing Adit care for Mangal… but why now, when Mangal is drifting away from him? She silently wipes her tears.
The next morning, Kusum asks Adit if he’s going for his interview. Adit nods. Kusum goes to get his tiffin. Just then, Adit receives a bouquet and a message from Kapil. He angrily throws the bouquet in the dustbin. Kusum returns and asks who it was for. Adit says, “It’s for someone who’s become invisible these days… She’s already left the house.”
He goes to check on Akshat and sees Mangal still asleep beside him. Sowmya sarcastically asks, “Why are you staring at Mangal? Aren’t you getting late for your interview?” Adit replies, “I came to check on Akshat… Mangal hasn’t woken up yet either.” Kusum and Adit try to wake Mangal, but she doesn’t respond. Sowmya grows worried and thinks, What happened to Mangal at Kapil’s house?
Precap: The doctor checks Mangal and after reviewing her reports, says her condition is due to a sleeping pill. Adit questions her, “Why did you take a sleeping pill?” Mangal replies, “I only took a headache tablet — the one Pratima gave me.” Sowmya secretly tells Pratima, “I know you gave that medicine to Mangal intentionally.”
